NEOSA Brass, Timbrels, and Chorus

The Band & Timbrels first received its commission on December 8, 1941 as the NEOSA Divisional Youth Band and Timbrelists. After World War II, the band took various forms. It began as a mixed band of men and women. During the Baby Boom era, the band took the form of an all male band. Around 1965, the Band returned to its mixed form and became known once again as the NEOSA Youth Band.  In 2002, the band changed its name to NEOSA Brass. The NEOSA Brass and Timbrels combine to form the NEOSA Chorus.

The groups rehearse monthly and are used to support Corps, Divisional and Territorial events.  The band, timbrels, and chorus have long been regarded as one of The Salvation Army's premier divisional organizations. These groups have played not only at various locations within the division, but as guests throughout the United States, Canada, Estonia, Finland, Mexico, Puerto Rico, and Sweden.

Youth Band and Youth Timbrels

The Youth Band and Youth Timbrel Groups serve as the preparatory/feeder ensembles for the NEOSA Brass, Timbrels, and Chorus. Since 1983, these advanced/beginners have rehearsed monthly along side of the NEOSA Level groups and have supported many Corps and Divisional Events.
